Facebook Marketplace now powered by Oodle

Posted By: Thomas Shaw, 11:20pm Sunday 15 March 2009    Print Article

Facebook Marketplace was re-launched last week powered by Oodle. Unfortunately you are only able to search and list items within the US, Canada, UK and Ireland. Previously, the Marketplace was not used extensively for jobs. I anticipate over time that Facebook Marketplace will integrate with job posting software (Broadbean, JobAdder, Adlogic) and create a leading job board to deliver the jobs directly to the users profile.

Oodle currently accepts feeds via FTP and HTTP, so the question is not IF the job posting providers will integrate, but WHEN. Social networks are a relatively untapped candidate database. There is a considerable difference between the Marketplace and 3rd party applications.
