Favicon used with Google Sponsored Links

Posted By: Thomas Shaw, 3:44pm Sunday 15 March 2009    Print Article

It seems Google has recently updated the sponsored links display to add small images or as we like to call them Favicon to its sponsored links. I can’t seem to find anymore information about the changes to the sponsored links or how to add your image via Google Adwords.

Having the image next to the URL will reinforce brand identity and should increase the click through rate. You can see the visual difference with the sponsored links with CareerOne, LinkMe and Byron.
