SCAM - Job Seekers beware

Posted By: Thomas Shaw, 9:37pm Monday 15 December 2008    Email Article    Print Article

It occured to me that this blog has been very negative recently. But honestly, I am a really fun, sociable and entertaining person! Seriously ask anyone :)

But, its hard not to be critical when I come across these job posts on SEEK http://www.seek.com.au (Yes, I have reported them) and on the surface the job adverts all looks legit.

"Earn up to $2,400p/wk! Travel the world for FREE! Bar Staff,Kitchen hands, waiters, security, DJ’s, retail, hair & beauty, nanny, cleaners"

Great! So how do I apply for this role.... "You need to visit and apply directly on our website"

Awesome! So, I am now on the employers website...  "Our All New 2009 "Cruise Ship Employment Guide" Start applying for positions Immediatelly! The 2009 Edition is Now full of hyperlinks that make the application process a breeze! ONLY AU$69.95 (Incl. GST)"

Hmmm... not good, buyer beware. Screen shots below.

Hard for Seek to say they missed these ads when there are so many...

defiantly dodgy. They should come off immediately but I am sure the team @ Seek is run of their feet with the new site and all and Mr Eaton being on holiday. They need to come off immediately,

I have reported it twice now, just waiting to see what happens http://seek.com.au/jobsearch/index.ascx?AdvertiserID=23394221

I was viewing my click tracker statistics and I am receiving a lot of traffic from the search engines on "cruisejobs.biz scam"

Why are these adverts still online?

Think about those poor and misinformed job seekers who are paying money to this company.
